ALL KNOWN MEMBER OF ROGER PIRATES

Gol D.Roger was the Captain of the Roger pirates and commanded one of the most famous & notorious pirate crews in history. The Roger Pirates are the only crew to reach Raftel, the end of the New World in the Grand Line. Roger’s crew was known to be the strongest crew to sail the Grand Line. Even though the crew disbanded, the Marines would never allow the crew to be forgotten. If a crew member is encountered, the Marines cannot simply let them go. In sync with the current OP arc, 10 members of the Roger pirates have been revealed. Today, we’ll discuss about these Roger Pirates.

Let’s Begin-

10. Buggy-

Buggy the ‘Star’ Clown is the captain of the Buggy Pirates. He served as a cabin boy on Roger’s ship with Shanks where he accidentally swallowed the Chop-Chop DF (being surprised by Shanks) and got his powers. It was annoyingly against his plans (to retrieve an underwater treasure) and thus he started loathing Shanks.

He was a part of the crew when they fought Shiki and suggested surrendering to him, which they didn’t, and won the battle. Buggy was offered by Shanks to join his crew after their captain’s execution, but declined. He is currently serving as a Shichibukai.

9. Seagull

Seagull was a member of the Roger Pirates at the time of the Battle of Edd War, with the Golden Lion Pirates, where he was seen entering the fight. He appears to be bald, has a round face and is quite large than the rest of the crew. Being a part of Roger’s crew he should presumably be quite powerful. His current location is unknown.

8. Crocus

Though he was a lighthouse keeper for most of his life, he spent three years as a doctor in Gol D. Roger’s crew. Crocus is an extraordinary doctor. According to Rayleigh, he is the only doctor who can halt the deterioration of Gol D. Roger’s incurable disease, prolonging his life long enough to reach Raftel and conquer the Grand Line. He also used his surgical skills to modify Laboon, a gigantic whale, to install routes in his body. Crocus also came out unscratched after taking a hit from a bazooka in his old age which gives an indication of his powers. He is currently taking care of Laboon at the lighthouse, near the start of the Grand Line.

7. Kozuki Oden

Kozuki Oden was the daimyo of Kuri in Wano Country. He was part of Roger’s crew that had been to Raftel. Oden inherited the knowledge and skill to read poneglyphs and write its ancient language and was the last member of the family with the skill as he failed to pass on the philological knowledge to his son before he and his wife were executed by the Beast pirates. He also had the ability to hear the “Voice of All Things”.

6. Shanks-

“Red-Haired” Shanks is the captain of the Red Hair Pirates and one of theYonko. He is also a former member of the legendary Roger Pirates, the only group to successfully conquer the Grand Line. Shanks served on Roger’s ship, where he and Buggy would constantly quarrel. He once wore Roger’s straw hat before passing it along to Luffy. Roger was present during his captain’s execution.

He is an extremely powerful pirate even after losing an arm. His Haoshoku Haki is the only one seen doing physical damage (to whitebeard’s ship). The Marines alongwith the other Yonkous consider him a very big threat. He is also a very powerful swordsman having battled Mihawk equally.

5. Nekomamushi-

Master Nekomamushi (Cat Viper) is a cat- type mink and the guardian of the Whale Forest on Zou, dubbed the “Ruler of Night” as he rules over the Mokomo Dukedom from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. He and Inuarashi serve as retainers for the Kozuki Family of Wano Country and as a result travelled with their master, Kozuki Oden on the ships of both, Whitebeard as well as Roger.

Nekomamushi is a very lively character in contrast to Inuarashi. He is a also very powerful and very swift too. It can be judged from his battle with Jack the Drought, where he lost one of his arms.

4.Inuarashi

Duke Inuarashi (Dogstorm) is a dog-type mink and one of the two rulers of the Mokomo Dukedom, dubbed the “Ruler of Day”, as he rules over the Mokomo Dukedom from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. He also served as a retainer under Kozuki Oden and travelled on both Whitebeard’s as well as Roger’s ship. Inuarashi alongwith Cat Viper are the two strongest minks in the Zou arc. He seems like a very level-headed person in comparison to his cat counterpart. He has also fought one of the right hand men of the Yonkou Kaido, losing his leg in the process.

3. Scopper Gaban

Scopper Gaban was a former crew member of the Roger Pirates. He fought alongside the rest of the crew during the ‘Battle of Edd War’. He was seen wielding an axe during one of Buggy’s flashbacks. Not much is known about him. He is allegedly supposed to be the old man seen smoking a pipe in East Blue, as the people are celebrating Whitebeard’s death at the hands of the Marines! His current whereabouts are a mystery.

2. Rayleigh-

Silvers Rayleigh also known as the “Dark King” was the first mate to Gol D. Roger himself. During his youth he used to be a strict disciplinarian but later in his life he seems to have adapted a more carefree attitude. He is an extremely strong man. Rayleigh is a master swordsman and can use Haoshoku Haki too. He is also one of the few people to know the truth about the Void Century.

He was incredibly close to Roger and due to his friendship couldn’t bear to be present at Roger’s execution. Although he has long since retired, he is still considered a threat by the WG and has an active bounty despite working as a coating mechanic nowadays.

1.Gol D.Roger-

The captain of the Roger Pirates and the man who became the Pirate King. He had a fearless personality and even smiled at the time of his execution. Roger was proud of his title as the Pirate King. He was also famed as being quite reckless and could lose his temper quite easily.

Garp stated that an angry Roger could be a violent, selfish, and short-tempered man. He couldn’t bear even the smallest of insults towards his crewmates and is said to have destroyed the military force of one country for insulting his crew. He had a strong bond with his crew, as seen by his crewmates still taking his name with great respect.
