Yasopp is the sniper of the Red Hair Pirates and one of Shanks’ core crewmates alongside with Benn Beckman and Lucky Roo; in addition, we know that he’s also Usopp’s father.
As far as his backstory is concerned, Yasopp left his wife and his son in order to become a pirate, but he usually talks about Usopp, so that he’s supposed to care a lot about him; further, once he justified what he did by saying: “the pirate flag was calling me”, so that we can consider being a pirate as the main goal of his whole life.
Apart from his life, I think that Yasopp is the strongest sniper in the world and yes, I mean even stronger than Van Augur; some people, on the contrary, think that Van Augur is stronger than Yasopp and that he will kill him and Usopp will kill Van Augur in order to take his revenge, but I don’t agree with them because I’m convinced that, in a fair 1 vs 1, Van Augur would definitely lose.
Why?
Well, when Luffy met Shanks and his crew in Foosha Village, he was 7 years old, while now he’s 19; this means that Yasopp, who already was a member of the Red Hair Pirates, has been a Red Hair pirate for AT LEAST 12 years, and even 12 years ago he was already an incredibly skilled sniper. In addition, when Yasopp shot an apple, Luffy saw him and felt amazed, but Yasopp stated that it was nothing special, since he was even capable of shooting an ant antennae off at 100 feet away without harming the rest of it.
In fact, even before joining the Red Hair Pirates, he already had gained an awesome reputation; for this reason, when Shanks was looking for potential crew members, he went straight to Yasopp and asked him to join his crew.
Moreover, we have to take into consideration that Gol D. Roger was executed 24 years ago and Shanks created his own crew a little time after that event, so that Yasopp has been a member of the Red Hair Pirates for about 20 years; if he had already a big name 20 years ago, imagine how strong he is now.
Is there still anyone who thinks that Van Augur could defeat him in a fair fight?
Furthermore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Yasopp too, like the majority of the other members of Shanks’ crew, demonstrates to be a Haki master; for example, he could have mastered the Observation Haki to a level even higher than Katakuri’s one, so that he could predict his enemy’s future reactions to a shot coming from his rifle: this ability could make him a perfect sniper and it could also be the reason why Luffy stated that he had never seen Yasopp missing a shot.
So, in conclusion, what could be Yasopp’s bounty?
Considering him as the strongest sniper in the world, I believe that he must have (and also deserves) a bounty between 700.000.000 and 900.000.000; in addition, I’m convinced that his bounty is lower than Benn Beckman’s one because he’s the 1st mate of the crew, and also lower than Luck Roo’s one simply because, as a sniper, Yasopp is supposed not to be as good in fighting as Lucky Roo is.
