Magellan is the vice warden of Impel Down. He was formerly the chief warden, but after his failure to stop the jail's one and only mass-breakout, he was replaced by Hannyabal and demoted to vice warden. He was the main antagonist during the Impel Down Arc.
Magellan biggest quirk is his severe diarrhea brought upon by his frequent consumption of poisoned food. His devil Frui ability gives him immunity from actually being poisoned, but it does not spare him from diarrhea. As a result, he spends approximately ten hours each day in the bathroom relieving himself and eight hours of sleeping.
Magellan is quite loyal to the World Government. He takes his duties quite seriously and he is proud of he prison's reputation. Despite his critical condition after the war, Magellan left his medical care to take responsibility for the mass breakout, or to commit suicide for his failure.
Devil Fruit Abilities
Magellan has eaten Doku Doku No Mi, a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that allows him to generate and manipulate poison. He is like a Logia but Oda stated that his is not. Luffy can actually hit him without Haki.
Magellan might have an awakened Devil Fruit as he turned everything into poison like Doflamingo. Also his ultimate form, Venom Demon looks like an awakening for me. or maybe he has a special Paramecia like Katakuri.
In the fight versus luffy, Bon Clay said that it was impossible to defeat Magellan. Even Boa Hancock warns luffy that Magellan Is too much for him to handle. Luffy couldnt even touch Magellan without using Gears.
Magellan didnt really rely much on his Devil Fruit because he is Physically strong. Luffy Jet Bazooka which sent everyone flying before didnt do much damage to Magellan. This really
shows that even without Devil Fruit he is Physically strong.
Despite his unbelievable strength he still doesnt underestimate Luffy. Magellan Objectively evaluate his enemies and his own strength
When Blackbeard Pirates meet with Magellan, Blackbeard wanted to tease Magellan but he didnt waste any time and Defeated all of Blackbeard Crew in an instant. Not to mention its 5 versus 1. If not because of Shiliew of the Rain, Blackbeard would be dead by now.
Is Magellan stronger than whole Blackbeard Crew? NO, but as Whitebeard said Blackbeard is Reckless. Even Shiliew told him that he underestimated Magellen. On the ohter hand, Magellan didnt waste time on random talks and acts really fast.
He calculates everything except the unexpected. Like Luffy and Blackbeard surviving his poison. All of the prisoners of Impel down are afraid of him. Even the two former shichibukai, Crocodile and Jinbe also Ivankov were concerned of Magellan arrival.
It was said that Shiliew and Magellan were guardians of Impel Down and their power was equal. After Shiliew began to kill prisoners, Magellan imprisoned him. This could mean that Magellan win in a fight with shiliew and he clearly stronger than Shiliew at that point.
If we measure his strength based on what he do on Impel down I'll say that He is a bit weaker than the current admiral at that time. If we wanted to measure his strength in pirate bounty he might be on 900 million tier.
