Gol D.Roger was the Captain of the Roger pirates and commanded one of the most famous & notorious pirate crews in history. The Roger Pirates are the only crew to reach Raftel, the end of the New World in the Grand Line. Roger’s crew was known to be the strongest crew to sail the Grand Line. Eiichiro Oda's "One Piece" Manga Has Printed 430 Million Copies Worldwide


Eiichiro Oda's internationally popular manga series One Piece has printed over 430 million copies worldwide (Japan: 360 million, foreign: 70 million) since 1997, publisher Shueisha announced at the press conference for its new title projects held in Tokyo on October 16. 

The fantasy action series has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since its 34th issue of 1997. The second longest series in the magazine (the longest record holder is Osamu Akimoto's Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouen-mae Hashutsujo) attained a Guinness World Record title for "having the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author" in June 2015.



One piece its 20th anniversary at July 22, 2017. To celebrate the anniversary, the magazine's official YouTube channel has posted two special videos featuring readers in the real world and the characters' "Thank You" moments in the manga.

In addition, Japan Anniversary Association has officially recognized July 22 as "One Piece Day" since the manga's first chapter was published  in Weekly Shonen Jump's 34th issue of 1997 released in Japan on July 22, 1997.
